Ascaron Entertainment is a video game developer based in Germany and has been active in the market for 18 years. It was originally founded as Ascon, but adopted its present name in October 1996. Ascaron was founded in 1991 by Managing Director, HolgerFlöttmann. The company develops, sells and publishes interactive entertainment software worldwide. In 1992, the first Ascaron hit - the business simulation "Patrician" - was born and stormed the charts. This was followed by the football business simulation "Anstoss" which, with eight sequels, ranks among one of the most successful in this genre Games such as "Tortuga", "Patrician", "Port Royale" and above all "Sacred" quickly made Ascaron a top computer games label worldwide. In addition to its head office in Gütersloh Ascaron also runs the Studio II subsidiary in Aachen and Quality Four in Potsdam as well as Ascaron (UK) in Birmingham. Ascaron games are currently being marketed in over 40 countries worldwide.
