Usage Strategies

  • The number of bolts added with the Fusillade modifications scales slowly with CA level. The player can get up to 6 or even 7 fire bolts launching at once.
  • Area of effect damage from Explosion mod has a fairly small radius and really only affects enemies tightly grouped together.
  • If Fusillade and Hot Pursuit modifications are picked, the additional bolts will often target different monsters, sometimes far away.
  • To mod for attacking groups, choose Explosion - Fusillade - Fusillade.
  • To mod for maximizing single target damage, choose Incinerate - Globe - Hot Pursuit.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Very versatile skill
  • Can be used against single and multiple enemies
  • Good damage and area of effect damage (with mod)
  • Can get to extremely low casting times (like 0.5s)

Cons

  • Bolts can miss if the opponent moves out of the way. Even homing fire bolts can miss if an enemy is behind an obstacle.
