Sacred 2:Gronkor's Cave

From SacredWiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

In the northern parts of the Orc territory of Nor-Plat, between Tharak and Karagh, there lies a cave containing the remains of one of the most famous and mighty Orc warriors ever - Gronkor. Gronkor's status is so legendary amongst Orcs, his grave is quite unique in so far as it is protected against entry by all Orcs. Should an Orc enter his cave, he will be killed instantly. The spell protecting his hallowed shrine, however, does not extend to other Ancarian life forms - humans, seraphim, elves nor any other offshoot of the Elvish race such as the Dryads. Not that any of them would likely want to enter there for any reason.

In an effort to make sure Gronkor would never get lonely in his afterlife, he was not buried alone.

Gronkor's Relations

Among the graves in Gronkor's cave, some of his closest relations were buried with him:

  • Here lies Gronkor's Warg Rex.
  • Here lies Gronkor's teddy bear.
  • Here lies Gronkor's second brother.
  • Here lies Gronkor's Third Cousin. We do not know his name as he always introduced himself as Gronkor's Third Cousin.

Other graves found in Gronkor's Cave...

  • Rudiger "Don't Ask How I Did It" Flachs
  • *tap, tap, tap*
  • Here lies Savior82, executed after revealing the secrets of Mordor.
- A reference to J.R.R. Tolkein's Lord or the Rings, and Savior 82 who was a mod/game player of Sacred in the Sacred International Forum. The inscription also references a meme that was popular during the early days of this game, with an entrance to a secret level called Mordor that could be apparently accessed from the library in the Monastery of the Seraphim
  • The pen is mightier than the sword, but NightWolfe didn't stab hard enough.
- A reference to NightWolfe, the host of Wolfe's Lair, another Sacred franchise fan page.
  • Masteff - Lost in the drink with his boat on the rocks, while on his way to a drink on the rocks in his boat.
- A Sacred game player, member and poster at Sacred International Forum and DarkMatters
  • Spock was what he posted, now he's here.
- A Sacred Game player, member of Clan [D.a.r.k]
  • Here lie all the poor souls who foolishly incurred the wrath of The Localiz0r.
  • Silearth finally found his Monte Christo - Unfortunately for him it wasn't the sandwich, it was the count and the count was armed.
- Is a Sacred Game player, member of Clan [D.a.r.k]... reference to the making of a good Monte Cristo sandwich in the Sacred International forum where a topic had been raised on what one was, and how the best one could come to be.
  • Here rest Topalov Nescho and his Pet Passath Gerald. They worked too hard.
