Talk to Marin. Kill Marin. Talk to Aaron King of Thieves. Detailed Walkthrough Talk to Aaron to learn that one of Goldman's guards, Marin, owes him money and his life is now forfeit. Head directly west to the far side of the city, then head south. Talk to Marin, then kill him when he becomes hostile. Any weapon dealing non-magic damage is best. Head back to Aaron and talk to him to complete the quest and automatically begin the quest Assassination. Logbook Entry Notes Although completing this quest is required in order to access the quest Assassination, the two are not considered a chain quest in the logbook Bug? Thieves and an Estranged Husband seems to be a chain quest in that it shows a sub-quest title in the logbook (A Sordid Mission), however, the quest which follows it (Assassination) shows up as a separate quest/chain.
