You talk with Officer Marpek and before you say too much he asks you if you want to make some quick money. He wants you to go to a nearby tavern and speak with the brother of the landlord to tell him that Marpek will pay off his debt today. Looks like Marpek ran into a little bit of money. Your heart sinks when he explains. He just completed a mission for General Barimak. He's arrested Migolo Fernal and his clerk Malsen. They've been accused of high treason and most likely will be executed!

Nothing you can do right now. You head over to find Mekezz and see if he sheds any more light on your dilemma. Well that was a wasted trip. Mekezz merely states that can't believe Marpek is finally going to make good on his debt.

What to do now? Unfortunately you can't gain audience to either the King or Migolo and his clerk. Count Pikerelli can't be found. There's nothing that can be done.
