Quick Walkthrough
Detailed WalkthroughAfter entering Za'Zuruik in the previous quest, Among Orcs and speaking to Chieftain Klop-Top you are informed of the dangerous situation in the orc lands. A monster called the Octagolamus has blocked the river that runs through the orc region, drying up water supplies for the orcs. It is currently residing in the lake created by the blocked river and is attacking any orcs that go near. You are then told that the monster must die and that the Ore-Thag clan will be the one to kill it. By blowing up the dam creating the lake, the source of its power can be destroyed and then YOU can kill it. Unfortunately, the gun powder you need to destroy the dam has been lost with the orcs killed by the Octagolamus and you must find them to get it back. Upon finding the gunpowder next to the two dead orcs you must then head for the dam where the gunpowder must be placed before detonation. You should reach a little keg, click on it to place the gunpowder inside and then follow the fuse back to the detonation box you walked past on the way to the keg. Click on the detonater to blow the dam! After the screen stops violently shaking, head north a tiny bit until you enter the now drained lake and find and defeat the Octagolamus.A small hint; draw Octagolamus up onto the shore near the cave, remember, the Orcs told you he is weaker out of the water. Once you have defeated the Octagolamus return to Za'Zuruik to speak with Chief Klop-Top again. The easiest way is to use the portal to Za'Zuruik which you should have collected, otherwise walk back along the way came from. He is so grateful for the honor you have bestowed upon his clan, that he releases the captive elves and allows you to speak to them. Follow the road through the town until you come to the house the elves are imprisoned in. Aerim, the elf, tells you that all he knows about the magic is that it comes from a series of leaky pipelines. He suggests you head north and seek out the Seraphim in their Crystal Palace. Go north to the beach at Blulutuz and speak with the captain of the ship that will take you to the next quest and chapter, Realm of the Seraphim.

I found the dead Orcs. The stench of their rotting corpses made me gag, but I salvaged enough gunpowder to blow up the dam. What an explosion! The dam broke and the water flooded the valley as predicted. Lots of dead Orcs, but who cares! Now the swamp is drained, let's find out how tough the Octagolamus is with dry feet. One dead monster, as requested. You say it, I slay it. Now let's see how the clanleader reacts to the good news. Success! I brought huge prestige to the Ore-Thag Clan. They'll rule over the other clans, and they're welcome to them, so far as i'm concerned. But as my reward, the clanleader told me where to find the Elves from the lost expedition. They were captured and imprisoned by the Orcs. Perhaps my mission is coming to an end! I spoke to the Elves, but the wimps let the Orcs capture them before they found out anything about the magic leaks. All they could tell me is that the leaks are part of a network of pipelines. The Seraphim are supposed to know more about it. Looks like I'll have to head north and freeze my butt off. This mission is starting to really annoy me! Notes
