The Blacksmith is an NPC found in many towns throughout Ancaria. He can perform forging -- inserting various items into "sockets" in your equipment. He can also sell from a limited set of items -- armor, damage conversion items and some jewelry. The Blacksmith's location can always be recognized by the anvil icon that appears on the map ( ) or above the NPC's head in game. A Blacksmith's forge is usually outside and easy to spot. You can usually hear the sounds of them hammering metal. The player can also look for shop signs:
