Quick Walkthrough1. Talk to the Lonely Ogre 2. Guide him safely to the coast
Detailed WalkthroughAs you wander the Crystal Plains in your quest for adventure, you find a rather bemused looking Ogre. Well it seems like a straight forward job. A brisk walk to the coast, some easy Experience and another tick in your quest journal. A nice easy job to help enhance your growing reputation as a hero.
You didn't allow for the fact that although some people have been considered to have a deathwish, this moronic Ogre cheerfully runs towards every suicidal fight that he can find! Oh "bleep", where has that idiot gone now? If he lives long enough to reach the coast, I'm gonna kill him myself! Finally, you got him there. And miracle of miracles, he is still in one piece! As you watch the "bleeping" idiot shamble cheefully off towards the beach, you grasp your axe tightly and and fantasize about ripping his fool head off and shoving it ..................... Yes well! Thankfully you have completed the quest successfully and will hopefully never have to meet him again! Logbook EntryNotesThis is an extreemly difficult quest to complete successfully. The quest itself is straightforward, what makes it difficult is that unlike some npc's who can wander off and get into difficulty, this Ogre seems to try as hard as possible to get himself killed. He literally throws himself into every fight and the more impossible the odds the better. Trying to keep him alive can get you killed in a hurry, so I found the best way to complete the quest is to not try fighting for him. Just run towards the target area on the coast as fast as you can, while watching his health bar and spamming health potions to keep him alive. Once you reach the target area, he will teleport to your side and stop attacking everything in sight. Before you undertake this quest make sure you are carrying plenty of health potions, because not only is he suicidal, but his defence is virtually non-existent. |
