A Forger is a Dwarf by necessity, as only he can select the Forge Lore skill. The player concentrates on equipping the forger with maximum + Forge equipment (or + All Skills). Because of this concentration, high level forgers may not be very effective in combat, and tend to be "protected" by their players. Also, as with Mules, they are most valuable when able to enter as many Game Difficulties as possible – hence are most commonly Level 60, Level 100 or Level 140.
