Sacred 2:Bestiary - Diablo 2 Fallen
NOTE: The contents of this page are exclusive content found only by installing the hero-made mega-mod Diablo 2 Fallen.
Below are the descriptions of each enemy type found in the mod Diablo 2 Fallen, a mod for Sacred 2. Clicking the header button of an enemy type will take you to a new page on SacredWiki with more information.
Extra-strong monsters can be found lurking in various locations throughout Ancaria. Often using special attacks, boss monsters hit harder and faster, and can be very difficult to kill. There are many new bosses in the mod as well as redesigns of old ones. All Bosses, old and new, have an even higher chance for dropping good loot in Diablo 2 Fallen. |
Elite enemies with power and resilience sometimes approaching boss-level, super uniques are special foes with unique names and appearances. They always appear in the same location and scale to the hero's level when they enter the game. Each one is a recreation of a super unique from the original Diablo 1 & 2. |
Some enemies only appear in Sacred 2 as part of a quest. Those quest enemies that have unique designs and abilities in Diablo 2 Fallen are documented here. |
The Askari people of Dyr-Lain are commonly known to the outside world as "Amazons," the name for their mighty female warriors. The hero may do battle with a faction known as the Blood Valkyries, Amazons who have been corrupted by demonic forces. A dark cult is also present on Dyr Lain, and has recently converted a number of Askari to its ranks. |
The demonic forces of the Burning Hells have been at war with the High Heavens for aeons. The minions of Hell continually violate the pact to leave the world of Ancaria out of the war, therefore demons of all kinds can be found sowing evil throughout the world. Demons are some of the most dangerous foes the hero may encounter. |
Dragons came to Ancaria from another dimension, and their power and stature are almost god-like. There are also many smaller dragons and lesser dragon-kin that can be found in Ancaria. The Lizard Men of Hissil'ta and Jungle Lizards can trace their lineage back to mighty dragons as well. |
Ghosts and apparitions who have not left this world may become enraged and attack without provocation. Some wraiths may be enslaved and bent to the will of a mage or summoner. Other ethereal beings like the Willowisp are more like spirits of nature and have inscrutable motivations. |
High Elves are the dominant culture in Ancaria, and in some form their presence stretches across the entire world. Dark Elves, pirates, and outlaws may find easy prey in an unwary traveler. Dragon cultists worship with a twisted fervor. Elite soldiers and priests may also put up a fierce fight if they cross paths with the hero. |
Humans may oppose the hero in many regions across Ancaria. The Dark Army is composed of fallen knights and mages. Thraconians from the frozen Northland will often raid the coasts. Those human slaves that escape from Tyr-Lysia over the wall to Artamark often become outcasts among their own kind, forming bands of brigands and thieves, or even joining sinister cults. |
Humanoid Monsters are those sentient monsters that have developed their own cultures and societies, but yet are no less monstrous and savage for it. Make no mistake, they are human-like in appearance only. They have their own agendas, and the well-being of the hero doesn't fit into their plans. |
Spiders of all shapes and sizes infest nearly every region of Ancaria. Keep plenty of Antidote Potions on hand when exterminating their nests. Scarabs and scorpions can also be found crawling the desert sands. Don't underestimate them because of their small size. A swarm can overwhelm even the most seasoned fighter. |
Mechanical creatures hail from an ancient time when advanced technology flourished and dominated the world. Now they are seen as relics of the past, but they are not to be underestimated. Time has not dulled their ferocity. |
Ancaria is filled with strange monsters beyond count, of all shapes and sizes, and each requiring different strategies to defeat. Swamp olm, stone creatures, harpies, and elementals are just a sample of the monstrous enemies the hero may face. |
The warlike Orc clans of Nor Plat crave battle, so it is no surprise the hero should fight them in droves. Orc clans are composed of Orcs, Ogres, and Goblins. The hero may ally with an Orc clan, but the enemies of that clan then become the hero's enemies. |
Weird, sentient plants can be found dwelling in the wild jungles of the Amazons' island home, Dyr-Lain. Ents are hulking tree-like creatures which stalk the forests. Just as dangerous are the eerie flower-like plants which hold deceptively still until an unwary traveler comes near, only to be poisoned or even burned alive by toxins. |
T-Mutants were once normal creatures, but have been exposed to T-Energy for too long. All kinds of creatures, from wolves to turtles to even the land itself, have absorbed this powerful magical energy into their veins, strengthening and sometimes even enlarging them to tremendous sizes. |
Traps are static opponents installed on the ground or on walls which harm anyone who comes within range. Traps in Diablo 2 Fallen were not changed from the vanilla game. Therefore the link above will take the hero to the standard Traps bestiary for Sacred 2. |
The dead shall rise. Skeletons, zombies, and vampires can often be found wherever curses or evil magic has been used. Crypts, tombs, graveyards, and ancient battlefields are their favorite haunts. Undead have a troublesome habit of rising up again after they are "killed." Stock up on Potions of Undead Death before thinning their numbers. |
Hostile wild animals abound in Ancaria. No enemy type is more numerous and widespread. From bats to rats, bears to boars, wild animals will constantly force the hero to invoke that law of nature, "kill or be killed." |
