The rage mod multiply the next blow/CA by x.x.
The more opponents you will hit with scything the more damage you will deal with the next blow.
To see the effect, look at the damage of your CA before launching scything sweep, now use scything sweep with a lot of mob around you, stop attacking, look at your tooltips damage again. A great bonus!
It's working on the next CA, you can use scything sweep and then a demonic blow or a frenzied rampage.
You can triple/quadruple your damage with this mod, target a big mob like those around the Prince Sinister, use scything sweep and then launch a nasty frenzied rampage in the face of the prince sinister
The Rage mod works good in combinaison with crits and deathblow bonus.
