About the set

Byleth's set is another Battle Mage set with slightly odd bonuses/mods. Given that it's a Fire/Earth set, you would have thought that it would boost the "main" spells from those schools (Fire Spiral/Fireball & Meteor Storm), but it doesn't, despite also having a +% Physical Spell Damage (presumably for Meteor Storm). Byleth's is an interesting set for Fire Mages though, as one of the full set bonuses is "Burning Bone", which gives fire damage over time similar to the poison damage damage over time.

Special bonus

As the full set bonus for Byleth's, you get "burning bone" (all fire damage hits give fire damage over time, similar to poison damage) & Wounds Increase Damage Dealt (aka WIDD). WIDD is a controversial mod, as it boosts damage done by a % of the health you've lost, so if you're a character with high max health & you've lost most of it, with a high % of WIDD, you can significantly increase the damage you do. Use with care in Hardcore.
