The Health of your character is represented numerically by a value, often called healthpoints, or hitpoints. Each successful attack upon you, or a residual poison, or any other damage suffered will cause a reduction in your health. You possess an innate healing, recovering health over time at a fixed rate.

When your health reaches zero, your character dies. (There seem to be circumstances, thought to be governed by Survival Bonus, which may allow your character to survive sometimes fatal injuries.)

The amount of health your character possesses increases as she becomes stronger. Healthpoints (hitpoints) are increased by the Attributes Strength and Physical Regeneration. The speed of recovery is also affected by Physical Regeneration.
