In the Orc region, east of Tharak, there is a cave with a treasure trove of stolen art objects. One of them is a mounted painted plate with the words Ikarion, which is the original publisher of (insert name of original game here). Ikarion was not able to find a publisher for the game, until Ascaron bought them out and re-named and republished the game as Sacred.
The painting on the plate is a copy of the original Ikarion software logo:
