Detailed Walkthrough

You will find a surveyor named Mynhert in Skook's Corner, north of the river. He needs to count the milestones between Skook's Corner and the crossing but has other duties to attend to (sleeping, would be my guess). He wants you to count the stones for him.

The first milestone is just north of Skook's Corner. Your character will automatically count them as you pass.

You will encounter three more stones before reaching the crossing.

At the crossing, you will meet the Employee of the Land Survey Office. You give him the count, and he tells you that there is a stone missing. This quest is complete.
