Detailed Walkthrough
After defeating the Ex-Soldiers, you head down to Thylysium in search of some families who have had loved ones resurrected without their knowledge. The first person you meet is Isanora. You explain that he fell on the battlefield, resurrected and wandered around as a soulless undead. You tell her you were forced to kill what was left of him. Obviously she's very upset but does thank you for telling her the truth and releasing her's son soul.
As you walk outside, 2 High Elf Soldiers confront you and want to arrest you on suspicion of being a resurrection opponent. Well they may be right about that, but they won't be arresting anyone today. They were just regular foot soldiers and didn't stand a chance.
| ||
Standing nearby is Malrina. Her son was another resurrected soldier that you released. She says not to worry about the mess. The soldiers will make great fertilizer for her garden. No one will ever know what happened to them.
| ||
You continue south through the city and meet up with Jorinda. She definitely knows you though you cannot remember who she is. She says they are starting to look for you and hand you some documents and tells you to be careful. She says everything you're looking for is in them.
| ||
| ||
You sneak off the street and look at the documents. Looks like you were in the process of uncovering a conspiracy but the info is not complete. But slowly the story is coming together. You decide to to go the Senate to look at some official records. You meet a Guard that appears to have served under you at some point. He seems friendly enough - wonder what he'd say if he knew we weren't on the same side anymore. He lets you in without a challenge and you head for the Registry of Resurrected Heroes.

Hmm you're not on this list. Plus your list and this one doesn't match...so if those soldiers weren't Heroes....? Better look at the Registry of Resurrected Criminals. Sure enough, the list you have matches this registry and you're on it too. Both books have Commander Winderlich's signature all over them. Think it's time you paid him a visit.
Reading the Registries completes the 2nd part of this chain quest. Head toward Clearview to continue in the 3rd part; In Search of Life.

- Bug: Winderlich is a Commander, not a General - this is borne out by the Light campaign High Elf's quest The Promissory Note
- Note: Referring to Commander Winderlich as 'Winderly' may be a typo, or may be a deliberate mistake as part of the Shadow Warrior's persona
