At the same moment a [[Sacred 2:Demon - The Unholy Crusade|Demon]] appears out of nowhere. He must have triggered the spell on the scroll! He was expecting reinforcements from DeMordrey which he now knows will never arrive. He's also got the Crusaders laying seige to his castle and believes they are digging a sapper cave to blow up the outer wall. He's short on manpower and begs you to take care of the tunnel for him before it's too late for the castle. If you accomplish that he wants you to meet up with one of his officers.

Take the scroll to Arch Mage Saewald!
