After a character performs a special attack, either a Combat Art or Spell, the attack must recharge. The time it takes for this to happen is called Regeneration time. During this interval, the cursor will be white, and the ability will be unusable.
The regeneration time depends upon several factors, and is represented by fairly complex formulas which vary from character to character, and also substantially differ between Combat Arts and Spells.
