Poison is one of the four basic [[Sacred 2:Damage Types|Elemental Damage and resistance types]]. Poison, in the form of a Poison Fang can be forged into weapons or armor which will increase the weapon's chance to successfully inflict Chance for Poison which is a Secondary Damage Effect. If successful, Chance to Poison will inflict a Damage over Time.

Increased Poison resistance via armor or forging can also decrease damage done by Poison coming from opponent via melee, ranged or spell.
