Detailed Walkthrough

You run into Shirka near the Grunwald portal. She's still having a hard time getting by. She went ahead and became a mercenary...sort of. She's got a job to hunt down and kill a small dragon for a client. She's not going to get rich off this job but it's a start. She's a little worried that she won't be able to handle it alone. She's been told there's also some 'lava elementals' in the cave too. You decide to help her out. It does sound a bit dangerous and she could really use a morale boost.

You fight your way through all the enemies and are able to slay the Dragon Whelp.

She starts to thank you and ends up telling you a great deal about herself. She's got no one else to talk to and it sounds like she really needs to open up to someone. So you let her talk for awhile. Last thing you want right now is a teenage girl babbling but you feel you owe it to her. She tells you that you're pretty much the only person she can trust right now, so she feels it's important for her to tell you a few things about herself and repay that trust. Her life has always been difficult. She was raised only by her mother and she's never met her father. Her mother never spoke of him much and when she did it wasn't flattering. When she was seventeen her mother tried to marry her off to a man named Semil. She always struggled to get by and put food on the table so she was hoping this marriage might mark the beginning of better times for Shirka. It was almost a match made in heaven until Shirka found out Semil was a wanted criminal. Soldiers stormed her house and arrested Semil right at the betrothal. She was able to escape but in the confusion her mother was killed during the raid. Her story is breaking your heart. The guilt builds up inside you until you can no longer control it. Shirka has been through so much that she now needs a little truth from you.

You interrupt her story and say you have something very important to tell her. You tell her that you didn't know her father but that you are her father. At first she thinks it's a bad joke, she can't believe that you could be serious. But when she realizes you are, she takes it badly. She demands to know why you were never around, why you never helped out. Why did you leave them alone? She screams she hates you and runs away and out of the cave. You wanted to say...well what could you have said? An Inquisitor with a daughter? That would have caused numerous issues. If anyone had known you wouldn't have been able to help them anyways. You would have been jailed, disgraced or both. There's nothing you can do for her now..or is there? You know the name Semil. Maybe you could find him.

You decide to exit the cave and see if the temple achives has any information on him. Maybe if you can reunite the two, Shirka could find some happiness. You exit the cave and head into the Temple of the Gods to speak with the Registrar. He looks through his records and says he volunteered for a suicide mission in order to escape his sentence. He's probably in a reconnaissance party near Tharak. He then mentions one more entry "Shirka's betrothed, Inquisitor's brat". Merciful Ker!!, he knows about my infidelity ! He starts to inquire more about the subject when you erupt. Your bad day has just gotten worse and someone has to pay. You decide Ker needs more souls and you send him to the netherworld. Feeling slightly better you head off to Tharak in search of Semil.

This ends part 3 of the chain quest. Part 4, Semil Keytan, takes place in the Land of the Orcs - Nor Plat
