You notice a very unusual sheep as you approach the town of Orcish Byway. You could almost hear it talking. Thinking you're delusional and maybe got one too many hits to the head in that last battle you approach the sheep. Well it is talking! seems the sheep is actually a magician! A Senior magician at the Academy according to him. He was attacked by Orcs and had to use what he calls a 'rescue' spell. It teleports his spirit into the nearest animal and that is how he is now in sheep form.
He asks that you escort him back to his house so he can change back.

Baaa!Baa! I mean... Helloooo!
Stop looking at me like that ! I'm not a sheep... or a lamb! I am Mathirius, Senior Magician at the Academy. When those blasted Orcs attacked me I had to use a rescue spell which teleports my spirit into the nearest animal. Now I'm trapped in this sheep's baaaody! Please take me home so that I can change baaack into my normal form. Baaa...
Arriving at his house ends this part of the chain quest, talk to the magician again to start the part 2, Changes.
