This is a Spell Damage Based Combat Art.
Modifications
|
|
Skills and Attributes
The following skills will affect this combat art:
- Delphic Arcania Lore - improves combat art damage (including damage over time to T-Energy creatures), critical chance and casting speed, allows for modification points.
- Delphic Arcania Focus - reduces regeneration time and allows for higher level combat art without penalty, allows for modification points.
- Concentration - directly improves regeneration time
- Ancient Magic - directly improves combat art damage and lowers opponents' resistance to its damage
- Combat Discipline - will increase the damage of this combat art and lower its regeneration time if it is placed in a combo.
- Damage Lore - will improve the chance, duration, and strength of the secondary damage effects triggered by Cobalt Strike: Open Wounds and Weaken.
The following attributes will affect this combat art:
- Intelligence will increase its damage and spell intensity
- Stamina will lower regeneration time
Usage Strategies
- Can be modded as either a single enemy attack with debuffing power or as a multiple enemy attack with a chance for AoE damage.
- By using the Chain Reaction and Explosion modifications, groups of enemies can be hit with AoE damage up to 3 times as the Cobalt Strike jumps between monsters.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Reduction of enemy stats (with the appropriate mod) will cause them to be increasingly vulnerable to subsequent attacks.
- Works well in clustered groups of enemies with the AoE (Explosion) mod.
Cons
- Not a true AoE, as it requires at least 2-3 enemies in a bunch for its full damage potential. A single monster will not be affected by AoE damage and will not result in a Chain.
- The additional Magic damage over time to T-Mutants is pretty low and mutants are very resistant to Magic damage in general. It won't do much to improve Cobalt Strike's usability against them.
