Quick Walkthrough
Head directly South from Noriath Temple to a cave entrance (South of the Noriath Corner Resurrection Monument and West of another Resurrection Monument). Go into the cave and head through it to where the Evil Mage is. Talk to and then kill him, picking up the Goblet of Light he drops. Head back to Priest Aleya for your reward.
Detailed Walkthrough
Follow the road South from Noriath Temple, past the Resurrection Monument, to where a small track branches off to the Southwest (there’s a large boulder where the track splits). Stick to the larger path as it travels Southeast until it turns East with another small track branching off to the South. This time follow the smaller track South and into the cave. Make your way through the rather green cave until you find the Evil Mage. Talk to him and then kill him, picking up the Goblet of Light he drops. The previously non-hostile magicians wandering around will now be hostile, but you don’t have to kill them to complete the quest. Return to Aleya with the Goblet for your reward.
Logbook Entry
Aleya has asked me to retrieve the Goblet of Light from an evil mage and bring it back to the temple.
The evil mage won’t listen to reason. I guess, I will have to get rid of him.
I was just in time to prevent the worst. I should take the goblet back to Aleya as quickly as possible.
The Goblet of Light has returned to its rightful place in the temple.

- Note: Although completion of the quest Purification of the Temple is required before this quest can be accessed, they are not a chain (according to the logbook)
