Skills and Attributes

The following skills will affect this combat art:

  • Combat Discipline - will increase the damage of this combat art and lower its regeneration time if it is placed in a combo.

The following attributes will affect this combat art:

  • Stamina will lower regeneration time.

Usage Strategies

  • Bronze mod Batter is more defensive, as it will knock back enemies out of melee range. Note, however, that this will momentarily knock enemies safely out of range of subsequent waves of spikes, slightly decreasing the damage potential. Gore is the more offensive choice, for an Assassin that expects to stay in the thick of battle and take damage.
  • Silver mod Singe can give a good synergy with Wake of Inferno, which will reduce enemy fire resistance. Choosing Toxin instead will give Blade Fury a good synergy with Venom, which can boost its poison damage and chance for poisoning.
  • Blade Fury gains extra waves of damage spikes as it levels up (6 pulses or more at high levels). They can continue to go off after the Assassin has cast Blade Fury, so he may use other Combat Arts while it is in effect. Eventually it can gain so many waves of spikes, the Assassin will be able to have multiple castings of Blade Fury going simultaneously, seriously compounding the damage.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Great damage potential

Cons

  • Requires being in melee range to damage enemies
