Chance for Freeze is a secondary damage effect, as well as one of the Detrimental magic effects. It can be triggered by doing Ice damage, either by

  • a Combat Art that does ice damage or ice damage as one of it's elemental components.
  • Using a melee or ranged weapon with ice damage native to it or by having a Ice Crystal forged within that weapon.
