There is a fine line between passion and rage, something the Barbarian warrior knows well. One of the most powerful combat skills a Barbarian can learn is to cross that line into rage, without regard for consequences. While using this ability, a Barbarian drives more and more force into each successive blow as his anger and bloodlust mounts. Aspect - Berserk Combat Innate Abilities (Lvl 1) Attack Rating, Movement and Attack Speed boosted with each successive attack Barbarian deals more damage as his health decreases (max damage at 35% health) Barbarian becomes more vulnerable to physical damage: 20% (damage sensitivity) Duration: 40s Cooldown + Regeneration Time: 75.0s + 2.4s = 77.4s Modifications See also: Sacred 2:Combat Art Modifications Bronze Violence - Increases the attack rating boost by 22.5% + 2.5% per level. Enrage - The wounded threshold for max damage is raised to 45% of the Barbarian's hitpoints. Silver Unrestrained - Raises the attack speed limit by 20%. Withstand - Reduces the Barbarian's vulnerability to physical damage while Berserk (adds 10% Physical Damage Mitigation). Gold Surge - Berserk charges up attack speed even more (+11%). Seasoned - Reduces the cooldown of Berserk by 25%.

Skills and Attributes

The following skills will affect this combat art:

• Tactics Lore - allows for modification points. Has no other effects on Berserk.

• Berserk Combat Focus - reduces regeneration time and allows for higher level combat art without penalty, allows for modification points.

• The appropriate Weapon lore (such as Hafted Weapons when the Barbarian is wielding an axe) - will increase the initial casting speed.

• Concentration - will lower this combat art's regeneration time.

The following attributes will affect this combat art:

• Stamina will lower regeneration time

Usage Strategies

• With this temporary buff, the Barbarian trades defense for offense. Physical damage sensitivity is no joke, especially without any Damage Mitigation modifiers equipped to offset it. The player can offset this penalty by taking the Withstand silver mod and also by using the Natural Resistance buff.
• Silver mod Unrestrained lets the Barbarian surpass the game's normal attack speed cap.
• Gold mod Seasoned reduces the cooldown to 55 seconds, so the player can keep Berserk up more often.

Pros and Cons

Pros

• The attack and speed boosts stack with as many hits as the Barbarian can land. This can lead to extremely high values.

Cons

• Physical damage sensitivity can be dangerous.
• Requires taking damage to get the damage boost.
