Increases the Assassin's attack, casting, and movement speed for a period of time. Aspect - Shadow Disciplines Innate Abilities (Lvl 1) Attack Speed: 26.5% + 0.5% per level Casting Speed: 26.5% + 0.5% per level Movement Speed: 26.5% + 0.5% per level Chance to block roots: 20% + 2% per level Duration: 45 seconds + 0.05s per level Cooldown + Regeneration Time: 60.0s + 4.5s = 64.5 seconds Modifications See also: Sacred 2:Combat Art Modifications Bronze Flash - Further increases attack and casting speed by 10% + 1% per level. Elude - Boosts the Assassin's evade chance by 20% + 0.2% per level. Silver Mend - Increases hitpoint regeneration while Burst of Speed is active (4 + 4 hp/s per level). Recover - Reduces the impact and duration of incoming detrimental effects by 25% + 0.5% per level. Gold Ease - Reduces regeneration times for all combat arts while Burst of Speed is active (20% + 0.2% per level). Inertia - Reduces the cooldown for Burst of Speed by 20%.

Skills and Attributes

The following skills will affect this combat art:

• Shadow Disciplines Lore - improves the hitpoint regeneration effect from the Mend mod, improves casting speed, allows for modification points.

• Shadow Disciplines Focus - reduces regeneration time and allows for higher level combat art without penalty, allows for modification points.

• Concentration - directly improves regeneration time.

• Combat Discipline - will lower its regeneration time if it is placed in a combo.

The following attributes will affect this combat art:

• Stamina will lower regeneration time.

Usage Strategies

• A useful combo is Burst of Speed + Cloak of Shadows.

• The duration increases very slowly with CA level. It gains 1 second every 20 levels. If the Inertia mod is chosen, the cooldown will be reduced to 48 seconds. This means once Burst of Speed reaches level 60 the duration will catch up with the cooldown. Around this point the Assassin can begin to maintain Burst of Speed constantly (if regen times have been kept low).
