Skills and Attributes
The following skills will affect this combat art:
- Tactics Lore - allows for modification points. Has no other effects on Ruinous Onslaught.
- The appropriate Weapon lore (such as Hafted Weapons when the Shadow Warrior is wielding an axe) - will increase the execution speed.
The following attributes will affect this combat art:
- Stamina will lower regeneration time
Usage Strategies
- Player must execute the combat art while running in order to cover the full distance.
- Note that, like all CA's in the Death Warrior aspect, casting speed is determined by weapon speed, and can be boosted by weapon lore skills and +% attack speed. Likewise, the casting speed will be penalized by wielding a weapon with too high a level.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Unlimited duration while mounted. On the Hellhound, Ruinous Onslaught will last as long the player continues running. This means it can be used almost perpetually. Excellent for escaping or running through mobs of enemies if you don't want to stop and fight.
- Good damage mitigation
Cons
- Doesn't work in combos.
- Very short duration on foot.
