A classic sorceress, she is well-versed in three powerful magic disciplines. Some of her spells can be cast with no more than a simple mouse movement! In addition, the High Elf's magic can be used in conjunction with her hand-to-hand combat, making her an able fighter.

High Elves are free Elves who fled from the south a great many moons ago. High Elven nobility holds sway over the northern regions of Ancaria; controlling T-Energy streams and the Great Machine itself. However, the powers of the High Elves are limited as only the High Priests have direct access to the T-Energy streams and the Great Machine.

Due to problems with the T-Energy streams and the Great Machine the influence of the High Elven nobility is slowly dwindling and in certain areas civil war has already broken out. This has recently led to an increasingly tense atmosphere between Nobles and High Priests. Additionally, the ruling bodies not longer see eye to eye in many cases. Everyone holding a position of power is attempting to secure his or her influence during these times of insecurity. The executive powers do not lie in the hands of the High Elven rulers (except for a few special factions) but instead lie with “created” or bred soldier-like creatures. While the world around them is deteriorating the High Elven generals are losing control over their units. Insurrection and plundering are now commonplace (this creates ample opportunities to implement side quests).

The Story

Strange and dreadful stories reach the gates of the ancient academy of magic in Thylysium. The tales carry bleak news about horrifying incidents: Apparently, entire landscapes have been infested with the chaotic power of the T-Energy. Tidings of mutated animals and monstrous creatures in the north of the country are being heard. The world is on the brink of a major disaster and nobody seems to be able to avert the imminent danger.

The Masters of the academy send their best student to find out what is going on in Ancaria. That is the moment the High Elf has been waiting for! Finally, she will be able to use her magical abilities and to prove her wisdom.

Her hunger for adventures and her insatiable desire to increase her knowledge are essential conditions to reach that goal.


The Paths

Following the path of shadow, the High Elf will seize the opportunity to lead her house back to where it once belonged: To the very top of the High Elven society. During her travels across Ancaria she intends to find powerful allies and to improve her magical abilities. She is scheming to reinstate her family as sovereigns, and to place herself at the top of the academy. In order to reach this goal, she is prepared to destroy literally everything...

Or maybe she will choose the path of light?

This would be the perfect moment to intervene! Ancaria is in turmoil. Injustice, oppression and hatred are commonplace. The Humans must finally be freed from slavery and they must be given power to vote. Now is the time to lead the world into a more secure future.

Combat Art Skills

Concentration - Gives an additional buff slot & improves regeneration for all Combat Arts

Arrant Pyromancer Focus - Improves regeneration and raises max Combat Art level for this aspect

Mystic Stormite Focus - Improves regeneration and raises max Combat Art level for this aspect

Delphic Arcania Focus - Improves regeneration and raises max Combat Art level for this aspect

Arrant Pyromancer Lore - Increases damage, critical chance and cast speed for this aspect

Mystic Stormite Lore - Increases damage, critical chance and cast speed for this aspect

Delphic Arcania Lore - Increases damage, critical chance and cast speed for this aspect

Ancient Magic - Increases damage for spells

Combat Discipline - Increases damage and improves regeneration for Combos. Also increases the number of Combat Arts you can have in a combo

Offensive Skills

Magic Staffs -Increases attack speed, chance to hit and max item level usable without penalties with these weapons

Ranged Weapons - Increases attack speed, chance to hit and max item level usable without penalties with these weapons

Sword Weapons - Increases attack speed, chance to hit and max item level usable without penalties with these weapons

Pole Arms - Increases attack speed, chance to hit and max item level usable without penalties with these weapons

Tactics Lore - Increases damage with all weapons

Speed Lore - Increases attack and defense and run speed

Damage Lore - Provides a better chance for applying "status effects" (eg, burning with fire damage) on monsters

Defensive Skills

Armour Lore - Improves your resists and increases maximum item level without penalties

Constitution - Increases health and health regeneration

Spell Resistance - Increases your resistance to spells

Pacifism - Reduces damage taken in PvP (all possible ramifications still unknown)

Shield Lore - As yet unknown

General Skills

Riding - Improves player's mount's Combat Arts as well as the level of Mount allowed to be used by the player.

Divine Devotion - Improves regeneration of god-spell

Bargaining - Much like Trading in original Sacred, improves what merchants have to offer.

Alchemy - Allows player to use certain consumables

Enhanced Perception - As yet unknown

The Adept is a member of one of the ruling families and as such her demeanor is aristocratic. She is knowledgeable of the ancient Elven spells and thus she is very powerful in battle. The Adept is tall and slender and moves with inimitable grace. Her robes are colorful and adorned with numerous runes.
