The Barbarian
Steeped in mystery and tradition, the tribes of the North refer to themselves as the "Children of Bul-Kathos," the great and ancient king. To protect their lands from outside forces, they adopted a nomadic lifestyle, frequently moving and maintaining few permanent settlements. Isolating themselves from the world outside their territories, they eschew the use of magic and complex machinery, as they believe these things can only weaken their resolve. The Barbarian, a member of any of several of these tribes, rebuffs the influence of those he sees as soft and weak. Ceaseless clan warfare and the constant struggle to survive in the hostile wilderness are evident in the Barbarian's sturdy and powerful frame. He has developed a kinship with the land and has learned to harness the primal energies within nature to enhance his own substantial physical prowess.

Shadow Path Introduction: "The land here is dead and lifeless. The spirits of nature have fled this dreaded place."

Combat Discipline Up to three combat arts can be combined and the combat arts in combos regenerate faster. Increases the damage of all combat arts.

Berserk Combat Focus Improves regeneration time and enables the use of modifications for the aspect Berserk Combat. Increases the maximum spell level without penalty.

Tactical Warfare Focus Improves regeneration time and enables the use of modifications for the aspect Tactical Warfare. Increases the maximum spell level without penalty.

Dual wield Grants the ability to wield two one-handed (non-ranged) weapons. Both the chance to hit with each weapon and the attack speed are increased. This skill will replace similar effects from other weapon skills. It will also be easier to use higher level offhand weapons.

Tactics Lore Increases damage dealt by equipped weapons as well as the chance for critical hits. Enables the use of modifications for weapon-based combat arts.

Damage Lore Increases the chance to trigger secondary effects (burn, freeze, weaken, poison) of the respective damage types.

Blacksmith Grants the ability to work on items without visiting a Blacksmith. Additionally, items above character level can be used. Rings can be forged into items with bronze or better slots, amulets can be forged into items with silver or better slots. Allows the use of exclusive enhancements.

Divine Devotion Enhances the power and decreases the regeneration time of the Divine Gift.

Alchemy Enhances the effect/duration of all potions. Also unlocks the use of special alchemy charms.
|
|
Trading Displays item prices even when not at a merchant. Additionally merchants will offer more favorable prices and better items.
|
|
Magic Find Increases the chance to find more and higher quality items from monsters, chests, and magical hiding places. Unlocks special modifiers that require this skill.

Barbarian Aspects
Berserk Combat - Pure rage allows the Barbarian to unleash unbridled fury on his foes, though sometimes at the expense of his own safety.
Tactical Warfare - Barbarians also study the lore of combat tactics, and can use calculated attacks to defeat enemies.
War Cries - The most fearsome legends of Barbarians tell of their terrible shouts and war cries, some of which are so powerful they strike down foes.
